Proud of its heritage, the Village of Peoria Heights celebrated its Centennial in 1998. It is the second largest municipality in Peoria County with 6,635 residents. The Village is the home of Grand View Drive, coined by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1910 as the “World’s Most Beautiful Drive.”

Old Glory Days, May 24 thru May 27, 2007. Bring the kids and enjoy the carnival atmosphere with rides and food for the whole family. Tickets for all the rides are $2, or 4 rides for $6. Events start at 5 PM on Thursday and Friday and 1 PM saturday and Sunday.

Tower Park Music Fest
Peoria Heights, IL
The second annual "Tower Park Music Fest" will entertain those attending with 10 talented musical groups including Nick Boettcher, Mike and Amy Finders, Chamber Strings, Celtricity with Barry Cloyd among others. Good food and drink will add to your pleasure at this summertime event.

Mayor Mark Allen will celebrate the lives of two citizens who contributed much to the village of Peoria Heights; philanthropist William Rutherford and architect Richard Doyle, both who passed away in 2006. They were instrumental in the history of the village and construction of Village Hall and the Tower. The 200 foot tall water tower, with its giant woodpecker and elevator ride to the observation decks, provides a panoramic view of the Illinois countryside, is celebrating its 40th year.

Come join us and have a good time beginning Friday, August 4, 4 to 10 PM and Saturday, 1 to 10.
